About Me
I was only 10 years old when I unknowingly began my journey as a filmmaker. Using the VHS camera our family used for home movies, I would recreate movie scenes I loved with friends, make skits, and document my childhood. At 11, a friend and I used my iPod Touch to make my first YouTube video, influenced by the creators I watched on that very platform.
In the years that followed, I enjoyed the exhilarating feeling of the process of making videos and coming out the other end with something that didn’t exist in the world beforehand. I didn’t realize at the time that I had found my career. I thought it was just a little bit of fun.
At 14, I taught myself how to use Adobe Premiere Pro. I went into college with an undecided major, assuming I needed a degree to get a “real job,” not even realizing I could pursue filmmaking full-time. That same year, I started taking it more seriously by volunteering my time at church, editing sermons for the youth group. It wasn’t until I spontaneously enrolled in a film class to earn a credit that I realized I could make videos for a living instead of just making funny videos with friends. Around that time, I discovered that I didn’t just enjoy making videos; I enjoyed making beautiful moving images.
In 2020, I started working full-time at Calvary Church as a videographer while continuing to make videos on the side. Since then, I’ve made short films, music videos, wedding films, short documentary projects, and just about any other kind of video I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of. Today, I’m an Albuquerque-based filmmaker, cinematographer, and editor, continuing to pursue the work I’m passionate about.
I love Jesus with all my heart. Without my Creator, I wouldn’t create art myself. I owe everything to Him. Beyond the work I’m proud of, I’m most proud of the blessing of being married to Julia, the love of my life. She and I have been blessed with a son, Emilio, who has been one of the greatest joys to our family.
When I’m not making videos or spending time with my family, I have a passion for film photography, specifically landscape photography. I also enjoy long-distance running and race regularly.
